Table
Table
Table renders a table.
Table[ { listrow1, listrow2, ... } ]
Table[ { listrow1, listrow2, ... } ] renders a table containing the defined rows.
| Example | in | rendered |
|---|---|---|
The table containing two rows, with on the first row the values 1,2 and 3. On the second row the values 4,5 and 6. |
Table[{ {1,2,3},{4,5,6} } ] |

Table[ { listrow1, listrow2, ... }, RowHeaders => { { exprrow1, exprrow2, ... } } ]
Table[ { listrow1, listrow2, ... }, RowHeaders => { { exprrow1, exprrow2, ... } } ] renders a table containing the defined rows. Each row is preprended with the defined header cell value exprrow. The header is given a different layout from the other table cells.
| Example | in | rendered |
|---|---|---|
The table containing two rows, with on the first row header element x, followed by the values 1,2 and 3. On the second row the header element y, followed by the values 4,5 and 6. |
Table[{ {1,2,3},{4,5,6} }, RowHeaders => { {x,y} } ] |

Table[ { listrow1, listrow2, ... }, ColumnHeaders => { { exprcol1, exprcol2, ... } } ]
Table[ { listrow1, listrow2, ... }, ColumnHeaders => { { exprcol1, exprcol2, ... } } ] renders a table containing the defined rows. Each column is preprended with the defined header exprcol. The header is given a different layout from the other table cells.
| Example | in | rendered |
|---|---|---|
The table containing three rows, the header row defined with ColumnHeaders and then the two rows with the defined values. On the first row the values 1,2 and 3. On the second row the values 4,5 and 6. |
Table[{ {1,2,3},{4,5,6} }, ColumnHeaders => { {a,b,c} } ] |
Refer to the sandbox to view the output of the example. |
Table[ { listrow1, listrow2, ... }, RowHeaders => { { exprrow1, exprrow2, ... } }, ColumnHeaders => { { exprheadercol, exprcol1, exprcol2, ... } } ]
Table[ { listrow1, listrow2, ... }, RowHeaders => { { exprrow1, exprrow2, ... } }, ColumnHeaders => { { exprheadercol, exprcol1, exprcol2, ... } } ] renders a table containing the defined rows. Each row is preprended with the defined header exprrow. Each column is prepended with the defined header exprcol. The header is given a different layout from the other table cells.
| Example | in | rendered |
|---|---|---|
The table containing two rows, with on the first row header element x, followed by the values 1,2 and 3. On the second row the header element y, followed by the values 4,5 and 6. |
Table[{ {1,2,3},{4,5,6} }, RowHeaders => { {x,y} }, ColumnHeaders => { {'',a,b,c} } ] |

ColumHeaders
ColumHeaders defines the table's column headers. Headers will render in a different style than the rest of the table.
| Syntax | Example |
|---|---|
Table[ { listrow1, listrow2, ... }, ColumnHeaders => { { exprcol1, exprcol2, ... } } ] |
Table[{ {1,2,3},{4,5,6} }, ColumnHeaders => { {a,b,c} } ] |
RowHeaders
RowHeaders defines the table's row headers. Headers will render in a different style than the rest of the table.
| Syntax | Example |
|---|---|
Table[ { listrow1, listrow2, ... }, RowHeaders => { { exprrow1, exprrow2, ... } } ] |
Table[{ {1,2,3},{4,5,6} }, RowHeaders => { {x,y} } ] |
